It’s to be expected that an area where tourism has been a centrepiece of the local economy for over 150 years should have an impressive choice of places to stay in, and The English Riviera does not disappoint. The great news, however, is that although Torquay was the birthplace of the ever popular English sitcom, Fawlty Towers, the reputation of today’s accommodations is considerably better, so good in some cases that one bed and breakfast in the town even holds the title of Best B & B in the World, according to Tripadvisor!
Across the three towns there is a vast selection of places at which to stay, covering every kind of budget at a broad array of types of accommodation. There are large, medium sized and small hotels, some prompting coach holidays, some offering boutique, luxury facilities. There are guest houses and B & Bs of all sorts, dotted all around the three towns.
For people that like the independent option of self-catering, the choice is almost endless, and there are some excellent campsites and caravan parks too, many with onsite facilities and entertainment.
In response to requests from our audience, We LOVE England are busy curating a hand-picked list of all types of accommodation. We are inviting specially selected businesses to appear here and on other pages over the coming weeks and months as we emerge from these strange times.
