Accommodation in the Lake District is largely focused around Windermere, Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside in the south, and Keswick, Glenridding and Bassingthwaite further north. However, most villages across the National Park will have a choice of cosy B&Bs or pubs with rooms.
Wherever you choose to stay in the Lake District, you’ll find your local hosts warm and welcoming. What better way to end the day than watching the sunset from a luxurious lakeside country house hotel or heading back to a snug log cabin bolt hole? There are dozens of delightful B&Bs in which to rest weary limbs, many of them offering excellent value meal packages. And, given you’re in one of England’s most spellbinding landscapes, the camping and glamping options are among the country’s best. The choice is plentiful and varied, with some sites situated within walking distance of a community, and others in wonderfully secluded, peaceful locations, thereby offering that away from it all experience.
In response to requests from our audience, We LOVE England are busy curating a hand-picked list of all types of accommodation. We are inviting specially selected businesses to appear here and on other pages over the coming weeks and months as we emerge from these strange times.
