Spectacular views such as the ones enjoyed from Tintagel would normally be the star attraction, but actually it's the legend of King Arthur that draws people to this unique place, and the layers of history and dramatic castle ruins only add to the mystique of this place.

With the castle more accessible than ever since the building of a bridge to the island part of it, you can lose yourself in a fantasy of medieval proportions, as the waves crash against the rocks below.

The village caters for both day trippers and overnight visitors, and a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs only enhances the whole experience.
