Crustaceans love cold water and they seem to particularly enjoy the stretch of coast around Ravenscar and Scarborough, an area well-known for crab and lobster. Yorkshire folk love nothing more than a good fish n chip supper and you’ll find this English classic everywhere you go, from street-corner chippies to rural pubs and upmarket bistros. 

And who can think of a better place to warm up following a bracing seaside walk than one of the many cosy tea rooms for which Yorkshire is so famous?
