The renowned Stinking Bishop cheese hails from these parts, as does Double Gloucester. The latter even gets its own event each year where locals risk life and limb to chase a giant version of the cheese down the lethally steep Cooper’s Hill near Chipping Campden. 

Among the infinite number of pubs offering local ale and hearty menus, you’ll also find a delectable array of Michelin-starred restaurants. If you are self-catering, many of the towns and larger villages host weekly farmers’ markets and are well worth a visit to pick up local produce.
