I love London passionately and in 2009 , took the skills developed in my former careers as Customer Services and Training Manager at Harrods and owner and founder of a Greetings Card Publishing Company,   to begin training as a Blue Badge Tourist  Guide. Combined with  a long held passion for history and natural curiosity about the world around me, these skills have stood me in very good stead as a Guide .

After 2 years training , I first qualified as a Blue Badge Tourist Guide in 2011 and immediately fell in love with the profession.

6 years ago, I began to yearn for the iconic landscapes, cities, towns and villages of my home county – Yorkshire. I was fortunate to be able to study for and qualify for my Yorkshire Blue Badge and I now I am happily ensconced right in the historic core of York. I revel being part of this medieval wonderland with so much history on my doorstep.  Living in York allowed me to fulfil  two long held ambitions  - I can drive to the moors in 30 minutes and I am now the proud owner of a dog –  a Yorkshire Terrier cross of course!

Yorkshire is a county of contrasts: beaches, cliffs, moors, rolling hills, medieval cities, market towns, idyllic villages, rich industrial heritage, grandiose architecture and more. Besides showing visitors this relatively unexplored region and continually learning more about its fascinating history, I am an unashamed foodie! And Yorkshire is definitely the place for that.

Yorkshire is sometimes referred to as ‘God’s Own County’ and I could agree more with that! Come visit and let me introduce you to its wonders.
