There are older, very established hotels that hark back to the grandeur of the Victoria period, some of these being located in areas such as The Hoe, one of Plymouth’s most well loved areas, overlooking, as it does, Plymouth Sound.  There’s a good selection of modern hotels too, and then plenty of smaller guest houses for those that prefer more of a home from home experience.

Plymouth has a plentiful array of self-catering properties, providing options for the more independent minded – these are spread throughout the city, so visitors can be selective about which area they want to be in.  On the edge of the city, in more rural locations, there are countryside hotels, holiday parks and campsites.
