There’s a big wide world out there but, heck, I do love where we live. I’m English born and bred with family ties to the Yorkshire Dales, Chaucer’s Canterbury and the historic maritime city of Portsmouth.
My very favourite places to travel to are the beaches of Cornwall, the Georgian streets of Bath and the mountains of the Lake District.
But there really is no place like home. I live in beautiful Devon with my family and take full advantage of the rolling coastline and the rugged moors. You can regularly find us paddle boarding along the south coast and scrambling around Dartmoor tors.
Exploring England’s historic landscapes and iconic places is one of my passions. The other is writing. I combine both of these to create my travel blogs: the award-winning Tin Box Traveller on which I have shared more than 100 trips around England with my husband, two kids and our dog; and Devon with Kids, which is a family guide to our home county, from the best beaches and towns to explore to the most thrilling attractions.
My mission is to inspire other families to explore more of this incredible country by bringing them the must-have information and tips about top destinations and hidden gems.
